The Association of Public Finance Professionals of the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, Inc. (“APFP-DMV” or the “Association”) a District of Columbia 501(c)(6) not‐for‐profit corporation, is designed to encourage fellowship among its members and to promote and maintain high standards and principles in the public finance industry through APFP-DMV activities including networking events, educational seminars featuring prominent public sector and industry leaders of the public finance community. In addition, the Association aims to promote awareness of the public finance industry to students and young professionals and to facilitate the development of careers in public finance through establishing mentoring programs, hosting career panels and providing mentoring relationships.
We expect to build on the momentum from the networking events held last year to make APFP-DMV even more successful. We have a number of exciting events planned for the coming year which will include social hours, special guest speaker presentations, and panel discussions about current topics in the public finance industry.
APFP-DMV was launched with the generous financial support of the following companies (listed alphabetically): BNY Mellon, ImageMaster, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, The PFM Group, Siebert Brandford Shank & Co., L.L.C., Stifel, and TD Securities. Their support made it possible for us to assess the long-term value off such an organization and to put in place the corporate infrastructure to create the Association.
Continued financial support from our corporate sponsors will allow us to offer our members free admission to our events. In that regard, we are pleased to provide sponsorship opportunities at a variety of levels and would appreciate your support. We have several packages for sponsorship and these are detailed in the Sponsorship Commitment Form.
If you require additional information or wish to discuss opportunities for regional events in more detail, please contact one of us or visit our website at www.publicfinancedmv.com.
Contributions to section 501(c)(6) organizations are not deductible as charitable contributions on the donor’s federal income tax return.
Sponsorship will provide your firm with recognition as a APFP-DMV sponsor and will note the sponsorship level via your firm’s logo on our event invitations and programs and we will verbally announce your sponsorship during our events. Your firm’s logo will also be displayed on our sponsor banner at all APFP-DMV events. In addition, our annual sponsors will be recognized on our website through the end of the calendar year with a hyperlink if requested.
